The Killer
Jerry Lee Lewis cracks me up. I just think it's so funny how insane he gets while playing the piano like in the video for Great Balls Of Fire. If that was him sober, I can't imagine what he's like on drugs. Artists nowadays don't get that intense on stage. Of course they'll dance and put on a good show, but I bet concerts with Jerry Lee Lewis were absolutely hypnotic. I can totally picture the audience going crazy while he's just playing away on the piano. What really amazes me is, back then the piano was THE instrument for rock and roll but now, pianos aren't used in bands that much at all. Most have keyboards but guitars are the really big thing used for rock now. It makes me want to go back and really see what it was like to listen to that kind of music because listening to it now is so difficult since music has changed so much.
Xyloto X&Y
Coldplay, in my opinion, is a very unique sounding band and they are one of my top favorites. I enjoy them so much because they don't sound like any other band. The lead singer, Chris Martin, can do so many different things with his voice which makes each song so different from each other. Some artists, all the songs have the same melody unlike Coldplay, where each song is totally different. My favorite 2 albums by them are X&Y which was published in 2005 and Mylo Xyloto published in 2011. These albums have TOTALLY different sounds to them. X&Y is majority slower songs while Mylo Xyloto is more upbeat yet all the songs on the 2 albums don't sound alike. You can distinctively tell each song apart from one another. I really enjoy X&Y because my favorite type of songs by Coldplay, are the slower songs. Chris Martin is the reason why. I absolutely love the way he sounds in Yellow and Til Kingdom Come. But in Paradise and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall on the album Mylo Xyloto, he sings at a much faster pace yet he has somewhat of the same sound. I would suggest both the albums to anyone because honestly, how can you not love Coldplay.
