Fugees

The Fugees were a lot different from the other hip hop groups at the time, I think, because of the female singer/rapper also. All the other groups were only males but the female gave the Fugees a more pop yet still hip hop sound. I really liked them and I've heard some of their songs before as well as samples from some of their songs. They have a really modern-day sound even though they were a group 20 years ago. I've heard samples from their song "Ready or Not", just the girl's part, and I'm pretty sure there's a song that just recently came out that plays her part. The Fugees weren't as angry sounding as the other rap groups which is why I enjoyed them, they stood out from the other groups at the time.
